Inflation is reaching decades-high rates around the world, and countries are struggling to contain it. Mexico’s annual inflation rate stands at 8.7 percent. The Bank of Mexico cut its economic growth estimates for 2023 to 2.4 percent, while the OECD projects Mexico’s economy will expand by only 2.1 percent next year.
