Polls Apart: How Republicans and Democrats View NAFTA

Podcast CSIS

Over the last few years, both Republicans and Democrats have changed their minds about free trade agreements, specifically NAFTA. On this week’s 35 West, Alec Tyson of the Pew Research Center walks Richard through the latest poll, and how the top line approval numbers changed dramatically during and after the 2016 presidential election. But we also learn that Republicans’ view of the value of NAFTA to them personally has hardly changed at all since 2003.  Join us for a look inside the numbers. If you have a question for Richard, email it to americas@csis.org with "35 West" in the subject line. Include your twitter handle so we can shout out to you if we answer it on the air.

Guest: Alex Tyson, Pew Research Center
